Relationship Refreshment - Times Seven

At times, don't we all need to just stop for a moment and refresh?
That's what my post is about today: Relational refreshment - times seven.

I hope these photos and verses serve to remind you of the beauty that is marriage,
and I pray you find a touch of revitalization as you read, scroll, and absorb.

Ephesians 5:31
For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

Mark 10:9
"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."

Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind~ William Shakespeare ~

The heart that loves is forever young.~ Greek proverb ~

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times,
always with the same person.
~ Mignon McLaughlin, Journalist and Author ~

Song of Solomon 8:6-7
Set me as a seal upon your heart, for love is strong as death, jealousy as fierce as the grave. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.

Uplift. Affirm. And above all else, love one another just as Christ loves us.

God bless, my friends, and enjoy the journey!!

  1. Another favorite of mine comes from 1 Corinthians, 13:13: These three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. WOW - such powerful, yet simple truth!!

  2. Hi Marianne, I read 1 Corinthians 13 at my niece's wedding. Such a special moment. To be honest, hubby surviving cancer was pretty much God's love all around. Thanks for the lovely scriptures and pix.

  5. Know what, Donna? I did, too. :-) I had actually written up a completely different blog post for today's edition of "I'm Devoted" - but once I prepared, a voice spoke to me about encouragement - and joy. The pieces came together as though ordained after that, and now I have next weeks column all set to go. Bonus! LOL!! <3 I'm so glad you paid a visit and enjoyed your moments here!! God bless!

  6. My favorite is the "Love is patient..." one from 1 Corinthians, which you already have there. I also love Ephesians 4:26, "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath" (I use the NIV but love the "sound" of the KJV)
