During the wedding ceremony, so much emphasis is placed on the beauty of the bride, the spectacular gown, the breathtaking flowers, the sacredness of the church...
In the end, however, how can you top this moment - the moment the groom first sees his bride, adorned so perfectly, in a moment so full of hope and joy.
Savor the images - they really spoke to my heart!!!
Blessings ~

Which one is your favorite?? For me, I think it's #7 - what an eloquent photo!! <3
ReplyDeleteI like #7 too, and also #1 on the right! =) Makes me wish I had a photo of my husband's face that day I actually have no memory of his expression or even of walking down the aisle, it was so surreal it's all a blur!
ReplyDeleteI loved #7, but I also liked #21. He looks like he's offering a "Thank you" to God for the woman before him.
ReplyDeleteI think #7 is my favorite, too. I love that moment! I didn't get to surprise my husband with my dress, but my favorite moment after our wedding was when we locked ourselves in a bathroom at the reception and said, "Oh my goodness! We're MARRIED!"
ReplyDeleteIt must be done differently in the US. Hubby didn't see my dress until I got into the church and half way down the aisle.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Michelle! I wish I had a picture of Steve's reaction when I walked toward him because I have no memory of it either! LOL!!! I was kind of blinded by the vision of my man in a tux!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGail, I think you're right about his reactioin!! :-D
Patty, I'm chuckling at you and your husband's reaction to the realization that you're married! Priceless!
Clare - did he keep his back to you until you were at his side? I loved the way William and Kate did that during their wedding. :-) Such a romantic affiar!!!!
#1 is good, #7 -- awesome, but I like #10,11, 14, 17, and 24 also.Oh wait, there's #23 too, the groomsman who is watching the groom, "Should I step over there and catch the guy?" :)
ReplyDeleteThese all make me think of the film, "27 Dresses" where the heroine (sorry, terrible with names) is asked, "What's your favorite part of the ceremony?" to which she replies, "The groom's reaction when he sees his bride the first time." Everyone is looking at the bride and miss the groom, it seems.
I like #7, but I love #11 - so clearly tears of joy.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I can't pick. Too many of them brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDelete#5. I just hope they're all this happy and blessed all the years ahead.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Davalyn!! :-) Aren't they awesome pictures? They moved me as well.
ReplyDeleteTanya - I couldn't agree with you more - may they cling to this memory, this captured moment, through the seasons of difficulty that inevitably arise....that's my prayer, too!! <3
