It feels good to get back into the routine of life following the bustle, rush and blessing of the holidays, doesn't it?
I feel negligent for being away from this wonderful blog for so long! I'm Devoted, the idea of commitment, and issues centered on marriage are never far from my heart, though--and I was recently introduced to a song that froze me in place, and left me in tears. It's a song by Chris August titled RESTORE. After losing myself in the lyrics and beautiful music, I found I couldn't walk away from its message.
I promptly thought of Kellen and Juliet's struggles, and the struggle of thousands just like them who are wondering what to do with their marriage. Hearing RESTORE renewed my fire to be better about sharing what encouragement I can to shine God's light on the topic of marriage, relationship building, and the trinity of God, Man and Woman joined in a forever love.
Happy 2014, my friends, and I hope you have a chance to give this song a listen. Let it sink in. Absorb the words, the hope, the truth. I'd love to know what you think.
My prayer is that this song stirs your spirit as richly as it stirred mine.
God bless ~
Marianne
