In today's edition of the blog, I thought it would be fun to focus on some thoughts and ideas that came to mind as I happened upon some awesome images on the web.
I hope you have fun checking them out, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I remember being the little girl you see in this picture. I was wide-eyed, innocent and so full of hope...especially on those occasions when I came upon a vision like a bride and groom sharing their wedding day...their first kiss as man and wife. And, yes, I was praying to meet someone as remarkable as my husband...even way back then!
What I loved about this graphic was the resulting "girl power" way I felt after reading it. It doesn't hurt matters any that I found this graphic while I'm in the midst of a huge inspiration rush for a new series of books I'm creating, centered on a quartet of Christian women.
This one made me smile, and think about the influence Christian women wield as daughters of the Most High God. Amazing, isn't it?? (And, guys, the same holds true for you - just change daughters to sons, and girls to guys!)

Beautiful sentiment. I find it hard to hang on to this truth when I feel like I don't measure up, or I'm not 'doing very well' by God. This statement brings me right back around again. How about you? His Truth and Promise are everlasting. Incorruptable.
Thank you, God!
Thank you, God!
And God's people said, "AMEN!"
I slipped this one in just becuase I think it's absolutely beautiful...and rich with peace.
I can always use a big ol' dose of peace!
Same for this one - peaceful, and felt to me like God was providing spotlights along the path!
Says it all, yes? Love it!! I'm always baffled when modern culture wants women to feel like being 'behind' her man means she's lesser, or subservient. I also disagree with the idea that the man who 'leads' is the "boss" - almost like a domineering type, or a bully. Not at all true in my world. The philosophy expressed above is precisely how I want and need my marriage to be.
This reminds me of something Marlene Says to Juliet in the pages of Devotion. Juliet mourns the fact that her marriage will never be the same after Kellen's betrayal. Her sister, Marlene doesn't disagree. Instead, she takes into account Kellens' authentic and heartfelt reform, his relentless pursuit of his wife, and says, 'It's not meant to be the same. It's meant to begin all over again.'
Again, enough said, yes? So true! Love this!
This one comes from the 'saving the best for last' category.' I know this is something I always want to keep in mind, and hold on to, when the road becomes treacherous.
Hope you enjoyed the post! I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Savor each moment, my friends, and enjoy the journey!
God bless ~
Marianne
