Need A Relationship Pick-Me-Up?

Hello friends ~

I've just returned from a whirlwind trip to Nashville, Tennessee where, through the generosity and love of a treasured friend, I was given the opportunity to meet one of my all-time favorite writing heroes: Karen Kingsbury. More importantly, the trip enabled me to connect with a number of reader friends whom I treasure - what a blessing and a joy!

Me, with Karen Kingsbury - an author I consider to be the hallmark of Christian Fiction. Love her! She is sweet and charming, and she abounds in Godly grace and attitude.

I am abundantly blessed by reader friends who share my passion for exceptional Christian fiction and romance. Pictured here, L to R - Donna Keene, Karen Kingsbury, Marianne, Hope Painter and Lisa Cromwell. Love them--each and every one!

When I write my stories, I search for inspiration that leads me to God's truth when it comes to relationships and marriage. In my quest, look what I found! What do you think? Which one is your favorite?

Makes me think of the message of Devotion!

WOW. In long-term commitment, what statement could resound with as much power?? This is fundamental truth and God's wisdom. This statement holds true not just for a wedding day, but for the long-haul, when life, with all its messiness, steps in and tries to detract from LOVE.

I freely admit - I chose this picture and quote based solely on the loving and romantic message it delivers.  :-)

Presently, I'm authoring a pair of books based on the idea of physical purity (and in the process, I've discovered physical purity stems from a Godly, emotional purity). In this day and age, is the concept of virginity, and 'waiting' antiquated and out of step? I don't think so. I refuse to give up on the truth of God's message. When we follow His lead, passion, attraction, love and 'tummy tingles' will pave the way to a relationship based on mutual respect, love and passion. Trust His message.

Have you had a chance to read the book Devotion yet? If not, then join the mission! Jump to Pelican Book Group or Amazon. Once you do, I believe this quote will hit your heart like a lightning strike!

Let me know you just purchased the book and I'll send you a couple of goodies via the US Mail.

The Song of Solomon. The Book of Ruth. If you need marital/relational reinforcement, if you crave an influx of romance and joy-filled love, please check out these two books of Sacred Scripture. You'll be blessed and affirmed, I promise!

Thanks for stopping by the blog, friends! God bless you and keep you, until next time!

Marianne

  2. "I love you, not because I have to, but because I want to...I vowed to...I choose to." Beautifully said. Love it!

Because really, despite all the romantic "stuff" that insists, "We didn't mean to, it just happened...," we all do have a choice in love. God, after all, IS love...and He gives us a choice.

But, when you really think about it, isn't that kind of love even MORE romantic? When you know your husband or wife loves you because they WANT to love you? They CHOOSE to love you? It is to me. :)

  5. Oh, Delia, I agree COMPLETELY! You're spot on, and how true your words that the choice to love, over the long term, deciding to always support one another over time and circumtance, is the most romantic, Godly and beautiful love story any relationship can tell! Hugs my friend, and so glad you dropped by!!

  6. We have had 38 years of "wanting" to love each other. Plus we laugh and have fun doing just dumb ordinary day-to-day things. He just got the "cure" word from his oncologist, so every day is a treat. He makes my disappointments bearable, so I know he's a gift from the Lord.

Nice blog, Marianne. Continued hugs and good wishes!
